Family Accounts: Independent Profiles for Each Child
In multi-kid homes, older and younger siblings differ hugely in age, comprehension, and daily screen allowance.
"Anxin Learn" offers Family Shared Accounts: every child gets a fully independent viewing profile, stars, and limits — while seamlessly sharing the main account's Pro membership.
[!TIP] 30-second family-account quick-start
- 1 main + up to 2 sub-profiles: totally separate progress and limits for each child;
- One-tap enable, no new sign-ups: no new email or phone number — the app auto-creates a family profile;
- VIP once, all earn it: main account has Pro? Every family profile inherits full benefits automatically — zero double payments;
- Face-to-Face across profiles: share via LAN Face-to-Face Transfer between main and child profiles — pick once, send to everyone.
1. Why a Family Account?
- :icon(trending): Progress stays separate: the older child's structured courses and pacing can't be disturbed by the younger one tapping around;
- :icon(time): Age-appropriate limits: a 3-year-old's 20-minute single-session cap vs. an 8-year-old's 45-minute deep study — one global limit can't serve both;
- :icon(category): Libraries don't mix: the younger kid's nursery rhymes and the older kid's nature documentaries each stay in their own place.
2. Enable & Switch Family Profiles
- Open account settings: Go to [[Parent Center]] → tap [[Switch Account / Profile]];
- Find the family section: the app supports 1 main account + up to 2 family sub-profiles;
- Activate a sub-profile: next to an unused slot (Family 1 / Family 2), tap [[Enable]];
- Auto-generated: no new phone number or password needed — the app assigns a family profile automatically;
- Set the child's profile: give the child a nickname, age, gender, and avatar;
- Switch instantly: tap a profile card to change who's using the device right away.
3. Benefits & Isolation Rules at a Glance
| Dimension | Isolation & rules |
|---|---|
| Pro membership :icon(check): Fully shared | Main account subscribes to Pro (monthly, yearly, or lifetime) — all family profiles light up VIP automatically, no repeat payment. |
| Time & limits :icon(shield): Fully separate | Each child's daily usage, rest intervals, and per-category quotas are counted independently. |
| Progress & history :icon(shield): Fully separate | Episode progress, pacing releases, continue-watching, and favorites never mix. |
| Stars & badges :icon(shield): Fully separate | Each child has their own star jar and Wish Wall — their own self-discipline loop. |
| Parental lock PIN :icon(shield): One rule for all | Returning to Parent Center requires the same 4-digit parent PIN on every profile. |
4. FAQ & Multi-Device Setup
Q: Do family sub-profiles need a separate Pro purchase?
Absolutely not! One purchase on the main account, and every family slot inherits 100% of Pro perks (unlimited adds, smart course packaging, advanced pacing, etc.). Pay once, the whole family benefits.
Q: Big kid on iPad, little kid on phone — best setup?
Sign the big one into their family profile on the iPad and the little one into theirs on the phone — each runs independently. When you pick videos on your own phone, use Face-to-Face Transfer to scan-deliver to each device separately.
Q: Do I need the parent PIN to switch profiles?
Yes. Switching profiles requires the parent PIN — so a child can't jump into a sibling's account to watch older content.
