1. Quick Import Guide

1.1 Import from your phone (recommended)

1. Open the children's song or science video you want in the YouTube app;
2. Tap the [[Share]] button below the video;
3. Choose [[Copy link]];
4. Switch back to "Anxin Learn" — a "Video link detected" prompt appears at the bottom of the screen. Tap Add to save it.

If no prompt appears, you can go to [[Parent Center]] → [[Add Video]] → [[Online Video]] and long-press to paste the link manually.

1.2 Import from your computer (easier to browse on a big screen)

While browsing YouTube in your computer browser:

• Click the "Share" icon next to the address bar and select "QR Code", or right-click anywhere on the page and choose "Create QR Code for this page";
• Open "Anxin Learn" on your tablet, tap [[Add Video]] → select [[Scan QR Code]], and point it at the computer screen — it parses in seconds.

3.1 How playlists are handled

When you import a playlist (for example, a set of classic children's songs or a graded learning series), the app packages the entire list into one collection, keeping the original order.

[!NOTE] First 15 videos per playlist To keep parsing stable and fast under our login-free safety mode, very long playlists are handled as follows: the first 15 videos are imported by default.

3.2 Tips for very long playlists

If the playlist you want has dozens or hundreds of episodes:

1. Import in stages: Language learning works best step by step — importing 15 videos at a time (roughly two weeks of focused listening) keeps a comfortable pace and avoids overwhelming your child with a huge list;
2. Add important episodes individually: For key episodes beyond the first 15, simply import each video's single link, then group them into the same collection in collection management.

4. A Clean, Child-Friendly Viewing Environment

• :icon(shield): No ads or pop-ups: Videos play through a dedicated safe interface that filters out commercial ads and pop-ups;
• :icon(close): No auto-play recommendations: On YouTube, a video automatically counts down and queues up related content when it ends. In "Anxin Learn", playback stops quietly on the current screen, so commercial algorithms can't steer your child into mindless entertainment;

Q: I see "can't connect", "parsing timeout", or endless buffering?

1. International network access: YouTube's servers are overseas, so your device must be in a network environment with smooth international access. First try opening youtube.com in your device's own browser to check;
2. VPN / proxy stability: If you use a network accelerator, make sure the node is stable — disconnections or frequent switching can interrupt playback.

Q: I see "video is private" or "video unavailable"?

• Privacy settings: The creator has set the video to private or members-only; non-public videos can't be accessed by third parties;
• Region restrictions: Some copyright holders restrict playback to certain countries. For such videos, try searching YouTube for an alternative channel covering the same topic.

Q: Why does it say "age-restricted"?

YouTube marks some videos (containing adult language or disturbing scenes) as "18+ and login required".
Because this app deliberately uses a login-free safety mechanism and never signs into adult accounts, these videos can't be parsed. We recommend adding public, age-appropriate content from trusted education channels such as Kurzgesagt, National Geographic Kids, or Super Simple Songs.

Q: Can YouTube videos be downloaded to my phone?

No. This app follows each platform's terms of service and copyright rules. We use secure online streaming only and don't offer offline downloads. If you need videos without internet, use the "import from local album" option instead.
