Today's Usage & the Growth Dashboard
"Anxin Learn" gives parents a detailed, transparent, multi-dimensional learning-time & growth dashboard. Beyond second-level time records, it helps you notice your child's subject interests, focus rhythm, and eye-care habits.
This guide explains how to read the stats, understand focus metrics, and generate a beautiful weekly report poster.
[!TIP] 30-second dashboard quick-start
- Three time views: today's live detail, a 7-day bar chart, and a 30-day monthly overview — switch freely;
- Focus & subject insight: average time per video shows focus depth; subject time distribution reveals "tunnel vision";
- Smart growth signals: the app spots milestones like "exploring a new field" and "obsession with a topic" to support family discussion;
- Weekly report poster: one tap generates a shareable image with honor badges (Chinese-Classics Junior Scholar, Science Whiz, etc.).
1. Opening & Switching the Dashboard
- Open it: Go to [[Parent Center]] → tap [[Usage Stats / Viewing History]];
- Switch between 3 time views:
- Today (day detail): live data for the day; tap the arrows to browse any past day;
- Last 7 days (trend): a daily bar chart for the week with your screen-time baseline marked; tap any bar to drill into that day;
- Last 30 days (monthly overview): the big-picture monthly totals.
- Filter by subject: Tap "All" or a specific category (Fun Chinese Classics, Science Encyclopedia, etc.) at the top to see one subject's stats.
2. Key Metrics & Reading Focus
- :icon(time): Total learning time: genuine viewing time in the selected period (pauses and idle time precisely excluded);
- :icon(video): Videos explored: how many quality episodes were watched or sampled;
- :icon(trending): Average time per video (focus radar): 8–15 minutes per video means deep absorption; under 1–2 minutes hints your child may be hop-skipping for stimulation — time to step in;
- :icon(category): Time by subject: a clear ring chart of Chinese classics, science, English, math, etc. — spot and correct single-subject "diet";
- :icon(shield): 24-hour activity pattern: shows daytime, evening, and bedtime usage — keep the last hour before bed screen-free.
3. Smart Growth Insights (sensing the mind change)
The app detects signals from your child's viewing patterns:
- 【Topic obsession】: when one field (like "Science Encyclopedia")'s share surges, it's a nudge — tonight could be a themed read-aloud or hands-on experiment together;
- 【New field unlocked】: lights up when your child first explores a completely new category — a record of expanding horizons;
- 【Beloved re-watch】: triggered when a quality video is revisited again and again. Young children re-watch to build familiarity and language confidence — encourage your child to retell the story to the family;
- 【Fresh picks reaction】: feedback on which newly added courses your child responds to warmly, guiding your next selection.
4. Generate & Share the Weekly Report Image
In the Last 7 days view, turn this week's learning into a beautiful poster:
- Tap Create: Tap [[Generate Weekly Report]] at the bottom of the dashboard;
- Badges are awarded: The app combines days together, total time, and on-time-rest rate, and awards a title based on the top subject:
- 📜 Chinese-Classics Junior Scholar: deep exploration of classics & poems;
- 🚀 Science Whiz: curiosity about nature and space;
- 🧩 Logic Little Ace: jump in logical thinking & spatial play;
- 🔤 Bilingual Star: original English listening & phonics;
- 🌟 Eye-Care Champ: consistently resting on time.
- Save & share: Tap [[Save Poster to Album]] or [[Share]], and show your partner or grandparents your child's growth.
5. FAQ & Data Safety
Q: Does backgrounding or pausing count toward the stats?
Absolutely not! Time is only counted second-by-second while a video is genuinely playing. Browsing, buffering, and paused idle time never count.
Q: Is my child's viewing data uploaded or shared with anyone?
100% stored locally! "Anxin Learn" keeps its pure local-sandbox promise — all viewing history, time stats, and reports live in the tablet's local database. Nothing goes to any server, so there's zero privacy risk.
Q: How do I use average-session length to judge viewing quality?
- Over 6 minutes: your child follows the rhythm and completes a knowledge point or story — good focus;
- Under 2 minutes: possibly aimless clip-hopping. Turn on [[Scheduled Pacing]] (1–2 episodes a day) and avoid overloaded playlists that scatter attention.
