The Complete Guide to Adding TED & TED-Ed Talks

TED and TED-Ed bring together inspiring talks from the world's leading thinkers, scientists, and educators — a wonderful way to broaden your child's horizons, sharpen critical thinking, and build strong academic English.

This guide shows you how to easily add TED talks and TED-Ed animations, so your child can enjoy them in a clean, distraction-free environment.

[!TIP] 30-second TED quick-start

  • One-tap copy on phone or computer: On the TED website or app, tap Share → Copy Link, then switch back to "Anxin Learn" and the video is detected automatically;
  • Bilingual subtitles included: TED offers high-quality official subtitles in many languages, and our player displays them faithfully;
  • TED-Ed for curious minds: Each 5-minute animated lesson explains a fascinating science or humanities topic — ideal for older children and teens;
  • Add whole playlists: Import an entire set of related TED talks as one collection with a single tap.

1. Quick Import Guide

4. FAQ & Troubleshooting

Q: Why don't the imported TED talks have Chinese subtitles?

  1. Check the official subtitle library: TED subtitles are translated by volunteers worldwide. Very new talks may only have English subtitles while the Chinese translation is still being reviewed;
  2. Switch subtitles in the player: During playback, tap the "CC" icon in the lower-right corner of the controls, expand the subtitle list, and choose "Chinese (Simplified)" or "English" manually.

Q: TED videos load slowly or keep spinning?

TED servers are mostly outside the country, so playback speed can vary with network conditions. If buffering is slow:

  • Check that your network accelerator / VPN is working;
  • Or search for the talk on TED's official YouTube channel and import that link instead.

Q: How do I group several TED talks into one collection?

After adding them, go to [[Parent Center]] → [[Video Management]], long-press a card to enter multi-select mode, tick the talks you want, and tap [[Set as Collection]] at the bottom. Name it (for example, "TED Science") and they're grouped in a second.
