Freeing Up Tablet Storage & Quick Slim-Down
After months of use — courses, covers, and caches — your phone or tablet can fill up. "Anxin Learn" includes transparent Storage Management & Quick Slim-Down tools so you always know what's using space and can reclaim it safely, without losing any core data.
[!TIP] 30-second storage slim-down quick-start
- 4 transparent categories: offline videos, covers & thumbnails, local database, and temp caches — all visible at a glance;
- One-tap slim-down, 100% lossless: clears orphan caches, temp transfer files, and compacts the database — never deletes your videos;
- Leftover-file clean-up: files left on disk after being removed from your library get wiped with one tap — freeing GBs in seconds;
- Core assets untouched: stars, pacing history, and the parent PIN are never affected.
1. See What's Using Space
- Open Storage Management: Go to [[Parent Center]] → tap [[Storage Space Management]];
- The dashboard shows it all: total usage plus 4 categories:
- :icon(video): Imported local videos: offline MP4/MKV files on the device;
- :icon(storage): Covers & thumbnails: local cover images and video frame caches;
- :icon(database): Database & records: category structure, episode records, and logs;
- :icon(sync): Temp & export caches: backup exports and transient transfer files.
2. One-Tap Quick Slim-Down (Safe, 3-Stage Cleanup)
Tap [[Quick Slim-Down]] and the app runs a 100% safe, lossless 3-stage physical cleanup:
- Temp cache cleanup: clears
.tmpfragments from backup exports, Face-to-Face batch transfers, and network parsing; - Orphan cover cleanup: using smart reference checks, only images no longer referenced by any video are removed — all in-use and custom covers are 100% kept;
- Database compaction: defragments and rebuilds the local database for speed and a smaller footprint.
[!IMPORTANT] The safety red line Slim-down never deletes any videos from your library. Categories, pacing rules, the parent PIN, and all stars stay 100% safe.
3. Local Videos & Leftover Big Files
- What are "leftover videos"?
Videos you removed from the library (or copied into the app directory manually without importing) can remain on the disk taking up space; - Clean in two steps:
